Out of the box ideas, has potential!
What I want to see changed:
- *** Don’t automatically pin emails & reminders when they come back after snoozing - leave them unpinned so they stay in their bundle! My workaround is to search all pinned items and unpin them so they go into their bundles which mean I can’t use pinning :(
- A few more keyboard shortcuts - basically what’s missing from gmail shortcuts
- Type to narrow menus such as “move to bundle/label”
- Type free form snooze duration in snooze menu - right now I can do this by editing a reminders text but that doesn’t work for emails
What I love:
- Inbox with Emails + Reminders = AMEN (links too!)
- “done” mentality - treat emails & reminders as tasks - mark them done (check mark) when I’m done - I’ve always loved the simplicity of archiving emails when I’m done and not wasting time organizing them when search can find old emails faster than any org system) - this app puts this workflow front and center with checkmarks
- Snoozing emails & reminders
- Bundling is the million $ feature—grouping related emails (customizable) helps me whip through my inbox! Instead of unsubscribing everything I can now chose to get newsletters on weekends all in one bundle! Or, order status updates are grouped so I can dismiss them in a single click if I don’t care or I can look if I do care and quickly see all orders! And the best part is that my inbox is a one stop shop for all bundles, no need to click through labels to check each for emails. Plus some bundles are smart so I don’t have to train them—for example, github notifications are bundled by repository (project) which is AMEN!
- Rich preview system - extract important aspects from emails and surface in my inbox list view so I don’t have to dig into each propitiatory email to find this! (Pictures, videos, link previews, package/flight status, picture of order items and link to order details even for companies that can’t seem to formulate a cogent order confirmation!)
- Keyboard shortcuts!
- Multiselect emails and actions - ie snooze all emails in a bundle, or use sweep to archive all emails in a bundle.
- Left panel of labels is collapsible for distraction free UI.
- Beautiful web and mobile (iOS for me) apps.
- works side by side with gmail for easy migration path (i.e. filters and labels still configurable in gmail which helps for advanced filters that can only be created in the gmail UI currently)
- Reminder assists - parsing text and attaching contact phone numbers, snooze date, location, etc - ie just today I used the “return x” reminder assist and the app listed all my recent purchases across vendors!! (Amazon, google express, etc)
